DARWIN’S BIG DAY OUT

Imagine a tour so diverse and interactive that you can give your FOMO the day off! We have created 4 options that will allow you to sample our favourite things all in one jam packed day.

We start the day by flying right into the action with some Heli Fishing.  Throw a line in at our land and fish sites at Cape Hotham (Djukbinj National Park).  From there we fly over the Mary River Wetlands to Corroboree Billabong for a 45 minute Airboat experience (Dry Season only) with Wildlands NT, where you can spot an abundance of wildlife including Water Buffalo, Crocodiles, Wild Boar, Wallabies, Brumbies, Dingoes and all manner of Birdlife including the famous Jabiru and Brolga.

Next stop, the Jumping Crocodiles. With a 1 hour cruise, get up close from the safety of your boat to witness the awesome size and power of these ancient reptiles.

Goat Island is next on the list. This unique establishment is located on the Adelaide River and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. You will be most warmly welcomed by King Kai himself and his offsider Muddy the pup. Let's not forget the resident Croc, Casey who (except on very low tide) will make an appearance for a bit of Barramundi.

Board the helicopter once again for the famous Litchfield National Park. We take about a 20 minute flight over Manton Dam and Darwin River Dam and the tropical savannah woodlands of the Top End before arriving at Florence Falls, The Cascades, Wangi Falls and Tolmer Falls.  We then land for a swim at the Top of Sandy Creek Falls before dropping into the the beautiful Crab Claw Island Resort, which is nestled on the water's edge of Bynoe Harbour. With a picturesque beach landing you can relax with a cold one (or two) or cool off with a swim in the pool before returning to our base in Darwin.

The following options use the above as a standard tour with added attractions.

 

Option 1

Flight Time – 2 hours approx.

Total Time – 6 Hours

Heli Fishing (1.5 hrs)– Mary River Wetlands  – Goat Island Lodge (1hr) Crab Claw Island Resort  (1hr) and return to base via Darwin City.

 

Option 2 (Add 1hr Jumping Croc Cruise)

Flight Time – 2.2 hours approx.

Total Time – 7 Hours

Heli Fishing (1.5 hrs) – Mary River Wetlands  - Jumping Crocs (1hr)  – Goat Island Lodge (1hr) Crab Claw Island Resort  (1hr) and return to base via Darwin City.

 

Option 3 (Add Litchfield National Park Waterfalls)

Flight Time – 2.5 hours approx.

Total Time – 7 Hours

Heli Fishing (1.5 hrs)– Mary River Wetlands  - 1 Hour Airboat Experience (subject to availability in the dry season only) – Goat Island Lodge (1hr) - Litchfield National Park Waterfalls - Crab Claw Island Resort  (1hr) and return to base via Darwin City.

 

Option 4 (Add 1 hr Jumping Croc Cruise and Litchfield National Park Waterfalls)

Flight Time – 2.7 Hours approx.

Total Time – 8 Hours

Heli Fishing (1 hr) - Mary River Wetlands - Wildlands NT Airboat - Jumping Crocs (1 hr) - Goat Island Lodge - Darwin River Tavern - Litchfield National Park Waterfalls - Swim at Sandy Creek Falls in Litchfield (1 hr) - Crab Claw Island Resort and return to base via Darwin City.

 

INCLUSIONS

Lunch at either Darwin River Tavern or Crab Claw Island Resort.
