Significant Expansion – Helicopter Scenic Flights

Helicopter Scenic Flights

Airborne Solutions has added short Scenic Flights and extended Scenic Flights at two new bases.
The new bases are Brisbane Helicopter Tours at Archerfield Airport about 12 kilometres from Brisbane CBD.
The other is Sunshine Coast Helicopter Tours at Maroochydore Aerodrome at The Sunshine Coast.
Our CEO has started both bases with an offering of helicopter Scenic Flights and excursions including beer, wine and food as the catalyst for an extended helicopter Scenic Flights experience.
Airborne Solutions recently carried out a Progressive Heli Lunch out of Maroochydore where we head north to Noosa and land at the Apollonian Hotel for morning drinks.
The Hotel is a fascinating place with so much character and history. It was constructed in the 1870’s during the Gympie Gold Rush and was moved to Boreen Point from Gympie in 1985.
Our guests and I then headed to Black Ant Gourmet at Kin Kin for morning tea. Black Ant Gourmet is a very friendly place which not only serves exquisite food but also genuine country Australian hospitality and the Kin Kin countryside is so easy on the eye.
After take off from the dam wall behind Black Ant Gourmet, the flight takes us to Montville and Flame Hill Vineyard about 20 mins flying from Kin Kin.
Flame Hill is superb.
Spectacularly located on a bluff behind Obi Obi Creek in the Blackall Ranges. Flame Hill produces excellence in the form of locally grown wine, Beef and greens from their magnificent Montville property.
Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the pre-lunch wine tasting before boarding for a short but very scenic flight to Flaxton Gardens Restaurant.
Landing atop the escarpment helipad of Flaxton Gardens Restaurant we are warmly welcomed by owners and hosts Alan and Mariana.
The food and service is world class and our happy guests who were celebrating their wedding anniversary relaxed and enjoyed a three course gourmet lunch with matching wines and beautifully hand made deserts.
This tour is very relaxed.
Following lunch and after a run around with their young son in the very spacious grounds we took off to over fly Maleny and the Glasshouse Mountains.
The aerial view of these natural wonders is spectacular from our relatively close proximity.
Mt Beerwah rises 556 meters above sea level.
The Jinibara and Gubbi Gubbi people are the traditional owners of the area.
Aboriginal legend says Mt Tibrogargan is the father and Mt Beerwah is the mother of the other 15 mountain/hills which form the Glasshouse Mountains with Mt Coonowrin being the eldest child.
Returning via the vast pine forests and spectacular coastline completed an incredible aerial scenic experience of discovery of the region.
We will build new tours in 2018 to incorporate all sorts of activities where getting there in a chopper is so much fun.
