Onboard aerial mapping sytems allow for accurate mapping of fires. This information is overlaid on to topographical maps. Information such as powerlines, fire trails can be overlaid onto these maps, allowing fire commanders to have accurate information in determining their plan of attack. These maps can be viewed and manipulated by crew onboard the aircraft.
